We knew going into our stay that this Marriott was not a 5 star hotel.. yet. But we wanted to be in the Waikoloa area and they don't charge as much as some of the other Waikoloa hotels charge. The area is pricey. If you want less cost, stay down in Kaulia-Kona. Marriott is slowly but steadily doing what they... More

We went to the islands for 2 weeks. 1st week we were on Oahu (See my review of Turtle Bay). 2nd week we came here. I struggled on giving what kind of rating I was going to put down. I started on average, but as I wrote this review and remembered all the events, circumstance and conditions it change to... More

I was a bit nervous about this hotel before I arrived, because I'd stayed at the Marriott in Lihue, Kauai, a few years previously, and it was crammed full of noisy families and 'Jingle Bell Rock' on loop. When you're there for business, and to run a conference, you worry about such things. But I needn't have worried, because there... More

If rating this property for the customer service, I would give it 5 stars. Staff was friendly, helpful and just outstanding in every way. It truly made the stay very very pleasant. The location is excellent too, beautiful surroundings, a short walk to one of the most beautiful natural beaches I have ever seen-- idyllic. Great pool area, great outdoor... More

Gorgeous property placed right on the beach in the midst of a shopping centre/tourist resort. There is only one restaurant on property, which is ridiculously over-priced for the quality of food. However, fantastic pool side service and breakfast buffet is delicious ($29pp). Rooms are fantastic with shower and toilet seperate from the sink and mirror, meaning more room for girls... More

I struggled to come up with a final rating on this place..... This is a typical resort hotel with all of the amenities expected at such - multiple pools, spa, beach, etc. I really liked the hotel size compared to the Hilton Waikoloa just down the street - fairly simple to walk around and quiet. The attached man-made beach was... More

In October, we stayed five nights on the Big Island at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort. We had an oceanview room on the top floor of the Ka'ahumanu Wing (which was nice, because we never had direct setting sun in our room). Our room overlooked the ocean, pool and common grounds, which we enjoyed immensely. In the evening listening to... More

We spent 1 week at the Waikoloa Beach Marriott. It's not one of the stunning Kohala coast hotels, but it's location makes up for its rather plain appearance. The Marriot sits right on A-Bay, which has snorkeling, kayaking, and other boating adventures that leave right out of the bay. It's a nice, calm bay that is great for swimming too... More

This was our last hotel after great stays on Oahu and Kauai and unfortunately we did not leave the best til last. There is not such a huge choice of accommodation on The Big Island. Resorts are all man made and therefore isolated. In this hotel you are limited to the 2 nearby shopping centres (both in walking distance) to... More
