We only stayed for one night, but it was a great location for visiting Volcanoes National Park (about a 15 minute drive). We stayed in room 3, which was a great value for our family of 4. It was a tight fit with the furniture, and the bathroom was small, but we didn’t mind because we spent very little time... more

After two days in Honolulu we couldn’t have found a better place to transition to island life. Loved the location and natural beauty of Volcano. Very close to the park and within walking distance of one main street in this town. Just don’t try to find this place after dark. It is very quiet and peaceful. more

Between more offers regarding Volcano Natural Park we have chosen Aloha Crater Lodge and we didn't regret it. It was perfect stay for exploring Volcano's Natural Park, not far from museums and middle in the nature. There are more apartments in this loge, you can choose it on your own, 2 big apartments in the 1th floor, with doors directly... more

This is a great property in a very unique location. After spending several days in the Kona area, we drove to Volcano to experience the park. Shannon greeted us upon arrival and showed us around the grounds. Her homemade breads and muffins were delicious. The bed was really comfortable. It was only a 30 minute drive to Hilo, so getting... more

Shannon greeted us on arrival early around midday, and after showing us to our room, promised to leave muffins & milk for breakfast on our return from the park. This place is set in a beautiful tropical garden setting, and really is a gem in Volcano. The in-room hot-tub ws something else, and I'm only sorry that our staty was... more

My daughters and I spent a very pleasant night here while spending two days in Volcanoes National Park, and although we didn't spend much time in our room it was really comfortable, and the owner couldn't have been more helpful. As we were arriving in Hilo early in the morning and were planning to spend the day in the Park... more

We just got back from Hawaii and we stayed two nights at the Aloha Craters Lodge with Shannon Fisher and her family. It was a great stay! They have really nice, private rooms with detailed decoration! Everything is really neat, it feels really personal. We enjoyed talking to Shannon and her husband and getting good tips what to see and... more

The Aloha Crater Lodge is set in the rainforest in the town of Volcano, just 1 mile from the Visitor's Center at the entrance to Volcanos National Park. This is a great base from which to explore the Hilo side of the Big Island. It's new--just opened mid-2007. It's clean. It's comfortable. And except for the exotic sounds of rare... more
