My husband & I spent 2 nights of our honeymoon at the Volcano Village Lodge in the Hale Manaluna room and wished we had stayed longer! The lodge is in a secluded, residential, rainforest location just 5 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. At night, it was so dark and quiet, perfect for sleeping and we felt incredibly safe. We really... More

The lodge was a unique concept for us, we were looking forward to a rainforest experience. The setting and views were very much as pictured on the website, and we had expected it to be damp and chilly (it was). We liike to let the birds wake us up in the morning, but it was really too chilly to leave... More

This B&B includes 5 bungalows in the rainforest about a mile outside the Volcanos National Park. It was very peaceful and quiet and luxurious, although I did describe it to a friend like a luxurious camp in the rainforest. We stayed at the Mauna Loa bungalow and it was truly beautiful. The place was so safe that I don't think... More

An intimate property tucked away in the palms and ferns , volcano village lodge was just perfect for the start of our anniversary trip to the big island. We arrived after the office closed ( 6pm) and so they had our lights on and door unlocked, goodies on the table and breakfast for the following morning in the fridge. A... More

This place is amazing. We stayed in the Mauna Loa lodge and it was beautiful. The bed was sooo comfortable, the shower was great, the kitchenette with all the extra treats and breakfast were delicious, and the view of the rainforest out every window was amazing. This resort is top drawer. The only draw back, and it was a big... More

We have been gone from Hawaii way too long. We returned from our mega Hawaii vacation after 120 days on Maui, Oahu and the Big Island. The Guest Houses at Malanai in Hana and Volcano Village Lodge on the big island were the best parts of our entire month. Volcano Village Lodge is out of the norm. We split our... More

My husband says I'm a picky traveler. I think I like quality and I like it clean. I also like good service. I'm not the type to usually pick a B&B. What I don't like about my experiences with B&B's is what I do like about Volcano Village Lodge. I don't want to have breakfast with people I don't know.... More
