Country Goose is run by Joan, who manages a Bed and Breakfast, as well as a series of rental homes in the area around Volcanos National Park, Hawaii. We needed a place to stay for one night (December 26) and the options for one night in Volcano, Hawaii are *really* limited. Volcano is a very small town, and most places... More

I took the king room for 2 nites, and have good experience. It is located less than 5 min from hi volcano national park. The area is so dark at night ( no street light). It is also near volcano village where you can find most restaurants and convinient stores. The room is clean. The bed is so comfortable. Overall,... More

We visited this B and B to check in for our vacation home rental. Email communication with the hostess, Joan, was easy with quick, complete responses. Her B and B is fairly easy to find in a quiet setting. It is a lovely home with nice gardens. check in for our stay at the rental home, Hale Koa Nani, was... More

We drove from Hilo, exploring a few spots on the way and rolled into Volcano late afternoon, Joan (owner) was very welcoming, showed us our room and left us to ourselves (a plus for me) after giving us advice on the area/parks etc. The room was comfortable, big bed, very clean. Great breakfast next morning in her kitchen; really nice. More

We stayed at the Country Goose Bed and Breakfast for part of our honeymoon in Hawaii. It was the perfect place to stay while visiting Big Island. We had the Hale Iki cottage, it is quiet, secluded and really romantic, with a big soaking tub over looking the forest.. Joan our host was fantastic! She made something different for breakfast... My husband and I wanted a place to stay at for a couple days that was close to Volcano National Park and we didn't want to stay at a typical B & B or hotel. Hale Anuhea was the perfect choice. Only four miles or so from the park and the house was a very comfortable place to stay. For... More

Joan was a fabulous friendly host with great advice about where to go. We followed this advice and got to see both the glowing lava in the crater at volcano, and also went to Puna and observed lava flowing directly into the sea-although I supposeb we did break a few rules in crossing the lava fields! Great homemade breakfast. More

My husband, 2.5 year old son and I recently returned from an amazing trip to Hawaii which included a 3 night stay at Hale Koa Nani a vacation rental house run through the Country Goose Bed and Breakfast. This was the perfect way of having the comforts and feeling of home in a location which allowed for us to explore... More

We stayed one night at Volcano (but wished we have stayed longer). We need an accommodation in Volcano (or Hilo) for one night only, and our options were quite limited, since most places would require a 2-night stay. In addition, we were traveling with young kids (4 and 7), so either we find a large room to fit us all,... More
