Forget about the high rise and touristy strips of Hilo or other resorts. This charming B&B is nestled in the rain forest just 7 miles from the entrance to Volcano National Park and only 23 miles from Hilo. The location is perfect and the accommodation is outstanding so much so that we didn't want to leave, had to force ourselves... More

Staying here was like a page out of a fairy tale book. In the middle of the fast rainforest lies a romantic getaway surrounded by a beautiful garden. Celebrating our 30th Anniversary in this peaceful setting beats Kauilua- Kona's busy fast life hands down. Our next trip to The Big Island will be coordinated around openings here instead of an... What a great place to go back to after a long day exploring the island. Lenny was extremely sweet and helpful. The room was impeccably clean, I loved that he thought of EVERYTHING you might possibly need. Umbrellas, snorkel gear, binoculars, flashlights. Great breakfast. The couch also pulls out into a bed. We had thee ppl and it was comfortable.... More

What a quiet little getaway from all the hotels and resorts in Hawaii. This B&B is close to Volcanoes National Park without all the tourists being right next door. Perfect for a special occasion (our anniversary trip) or just recharging on your Hawaiian vacation. The room is beautifully decorated. Lenny, the owner, is awesome and will help with whatever questions... More

We stayed in the Fern Deluxe Suite, which has been very well renovated: the room has a kitchenette to make snacks in, a fireplace to curl up in front of, and a king size bed that is ACTUALLY a king size bed, not two singles pushed together. Lenny is absolutely lovely, and the setting is quite beautiful and quiet too.... More

Staying here was like visiting an old friend who happens to live on the island. The lodge is in the middle of a rainforest amidst giant ferns and tropical fruit trees. The setting is so peaceful that it is impossible not to get a good night's sleep. At the same time it is only 5 minutes away from the National... More

Very nice B&B. Lenny was very helpful with directions and contacting us when the room was ready for check in. The room was nice and clean. The bed was comfy and I really enjoyed the fireplace in the room. I know it is Hawaii but it gets cool in the evening up the mountain. The fridge was stocked with milk... More

Stayed in the Deluxe Suite. Very large, comfortable room with an enormous bed and plenty of room to spread out. Suite included small kitchenette with small fridge, microwave and sink. Lenny is very nice, welcoming and helpful. Extremely quiet and relaxing environment. Lots of nice touches - binoculars, flashlights to use for viewing the volcano at night, cooler for picnic... More

What a gorgeous room! With a bathtub! I was truly floored when I stepped into our room: a bed piled with quilts, a big TV, lots of room and a perfectly designed kitchenette. Lenny thought of EVERYTHING down to flashlights and binoculars for volcano-viewing. Not as social as the other B&B we stayed at on the Big Island, but we... More

Well, everything has already been said about this great place! And there is no point in repeating everything..... Lenny has done a great job here and he keeps improving it with passion and love! When we want to return the place is probably booked up ..... But we 'll at least pass by to say hi and see how things... More
