Terrific location near the volcanoes park entrance. We stayed at Cottage 44 which was a creatively decorated/designed water catchment tank morphed into a cozy cottage. A gas fireplace warmed the place nicely in the evening though the bathroom stayed chilly. Had a lovely stay at the Hale Ohia Cottages. The cottages are beautiful, fresh banana bread for breakfast with fruit and coffee, and the grounds very well maintained as well. Would highly recommend.

The Hale Lehua cottage behind the main house is quite private with only the front facing an open area. We stayed there two nights. Our cabin at this property was a real gem in the woods. We stayed in cabin 44 which has a round bedroom with a king-sized bed, skylight and a doublesided fireplace which also faces the living area. We ate our breakfast of fresh mangos and homemade nut bread on our lanai every morning and just enjoyed being in the forest....

We stayed in the Master Suite in the main house, and it was absolutely fine. Nice bed, right in the window (very public if you had the blinds open). Bathroom very comfortable, and you can do anything in there with the window open and not be overlooked.
