Very pleasantly surprised! We had a private room and private bath. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The bed was huge and had great bedding and pillows. The place was very quiet and private. While not deluxe (it has nice private rooms-which we used-as well as bunks for the backpacker crowd), the Volcano version of Pineapple Park is a great location to explore the entire southern end of The Big Island, including Hilo, the Wailuku falls and the Volcano. They have a similar operation in Kona and another opening this month (4/2006) in Hilo.... More
