We had a great time here. The owners, Annie and Doc, couldn’t be nicer – the staff too. Our private, air-conditioned room and bathroom had everything we needed. The location’s great, there’s ample parking, and we loved the open-air porches at all hours. This was my first time at a hostel (we're older), and frankly, I was skeptical; but while... More

Pro: I have to say it was clean Negatives: the owner. Rude, obnoxious, hard to deal with, terrible customer service skills, lacking basic social skills and very low level of English spoken, not something I mind usually, but her lack of English makes her even harder to deal with. the rooms: we were told we would have a seperate room... First off: false advertising. On the website it showed a room with 1 bed and a two person bunk bed as being $65 per night. When we got there (me and another person), it was just a tiny room with one bed not even big enough for two! The nice employee however got a cot bed for us. It had... More

First of all I think this hostel is run by a middle aged woman from South Korea. She has a really thick accent so it is very difficult to understand her over the phone. I called her and asked her for a reservation later that night and she said they didn't take reservations. She then proceeded to call me back... More

I haven't stayed here, but after my phone call this morning to book for tonight I won't ever stay here. The woman had such a thick pidgin accent it was difficult to understand her. After telling me there was availability for one person in a dorm room, I asked what time I could check in. I then said I can... More

I did not like this hostel at all. Now granted, I am not a hostel person and only took this place out of neccessity. The dorm room we stayed in was fairly clean and so were the bathrooms, but the bunk beds were high and there was no ladder to get onto the top. Also, the showers close at 10... More

The is the most horrible hostel I have ever seen. The room stinks. We even saw a big rat in the kitchen. People stay there call it " our roommate". It is so disgusting. I will never stay there ever again even it is free. It almost ruined our vacation! Koa wool halle is cheaper and a lot nicer!

It's a very nice Hostel near to the airport and many attractions. It work's together with the Hilo Airport Hostel, so we could stay at both of it and could visit the whole island really comfortable. The staff in both Hostels were really friendly and helpfull!

This hostel is brilliant. It is a small hostel with a family feel. Rooms and facilities were clean and tidy, everything you would want. Free wifi was fast and reliable. Rooms were quiet and comfortable, not too hot. Our private room was furnished to a high standard. No air conditioning but extra fans were made available. The location is okay,... More

I just finished a 2 week stay and the KONA - Pineapple Park and had a wonderful time! Annie, Mike and Mark were all very helpful to me when ever I needed directions or info for things to do. She runs a tight ship. She makes sure everyone is comfortable and has everything you need in the kitchen, there's lots... More
