Just got back on June 1st from the Big Island. We live in Hawaii on the main island of Oahu, born & raised. We love to visit the Big Island to relax & experience old Hawaii of past - not so developed with a lot of history, outdoor activities & landmarks. Jim & Amy, the owners, have top-rate service &... We stayed five nights in this tropical getaway. The bedroom was beautiful, modern, and we felt right at home. The morning breakfasts were AMAZING, presented by the first-class chef, Jim, and his wife! The premises are well-kept, with an array of tropical fruits and flowers at our fingertips. We would receommend this bed and breakfast to anyone traveling in the... More

My husband and I stayed 6 glorious nights at HPS. We loved the homey feel and the clean versatile accomodations. Amy, Jim, and Hunter are the most friendly and accomodating hosts anyone could ask for. We slept so well on their king sized bed, and breakfasted every day on the lanai. They were full of friendliness and Jim had always... More

My wife and I visited the Big Island for the first time, and decided to check out the Hilo area, as a balance to our next stop in Maui. Staying at a B&B is perfect for the region, you get to be front and center with the lush surroundings. Jim and Amy are great hosts, and having Hunter sit on... More

We stayed here for three nights to explore Hilo area. It's just a 15-20 min drive to Hilo, and easy to access downtown, shopping centers, snorkeling beach, lava viewing, etc.. It's located in suburban residential area. So usually quiet, dark in the night which is good for stargazing. There is a pool in the garden. You can use it for... More

If we have a chance to return to Big Island one day, there is no question we will return to the Paradise Suite. What a pity that this time we could only stay there with our two kids for two days in December. Jim, Amy and their cute little son Hunter were so warm and welcoming. The pool and the... More

We stayed with Jim, Amy and Hunter for two days in December of 2009. Jim was most helpful with recommendations for activites that might interest my 17 year old nephew, who was visiting Hawaii for the first time. The pool and sunny deck areas were of course, a big hit. So was the partitioned living space and electronic entertainment. Clean... More

We stayed with Jim and Amy for four days in August 2009. It is actually off season in Hawaii but definitely worth to visit. Big Island is a must. As it was not our first trip to Hawaii and Big Island, the expectation was very high. Therefore we are very happy to say that it was really an unforgettable stay.... More
