The Hapuna is beauitful, the beach is white, the sun is hot, the ocean's blue and the bee's get up early. We opened our screen doors at 5:30am while getting ready for a snorkel trip in Kailua. Almost right away we were swarmed by bee's, I later found out they were in a palm tree in front of our room.... more

My husband and loved this place. It has large rooms, a great pool, beautiful beach, friendly staff and great service. I especially loved the smell of plumera flowers around the beautiful grounds. Loved the peacefulness of this hotel. Beach was a tad windy, but lovely nevertheless. Even had the thrill of seeing a huge sea turtle swim right past us - almost within arm's reach - kids loved that! more

We went in May 2008 during construction so the hotel was not fully functional. This was the only dissappointing thing about our time at the property.
