We stayed here for four nights in October for our honeymoon. What an incredible place! First off, I loved driving up the rough winding road up to the B+B (although my wife was a little nervous). Driving here from Kona, the scenery is absolutely incredible. When you finally get there, you really feel like you've arrived somewhere special. There's plenty... More

Our stay at Waianuhea Bed & Breakfast this Thanksgiving holiday was absolutely wonderful. Everyone there made our stay a most memorable and delightful one. From the delicious breakfasts to our special ordered Thanksgiving dinner by Chef Peter and the wine and appetizer hour for the guests that allow all to meet and intermingle was outstanding. The location and house lends... More

We had a fabulous stay last week. The location is wonderful, the service impeccable and the food truly amazing. If you are looking for a true oasis in a magnificent setting this is for you. Be sure to have dinner there - it's incredible - Sonya and Chef Peter are a terrific team. More

I couldn't have found a better place to begin our 10th anniversary trip than Waianuhea. Gorgeous location in the hills above Honokaa, a beautiful house with tastefully furnished and decorated spaces, powered by the sun. Skylights and windows everywhere bring in natural light without compromising privacy. Our room had skylights for stargazing, fireplace, a little private balcony, and a double-sized... More

These days, so many of us go online when travelling to a destination unknown to us, with no recommendations from friends, to find a suitable place to stay. You look at websites, see the pictures, read the descriptions, make reservations and then pray that it all works out. This is what we found at Waianuhea on the Big island (after... More

Such a nice, secluded place! We stayed there for just one night, but it was very relaxing. When we've been there, the policy was that you have to tell in advance if you want to stay for dinner. We forgot to tell them. Honokaa, the closest town is very small. If you don't stay in the B&B, you can go... More

Our son, who lives on this island, made our reservation & we couldn't have been happier. The 3 course breakfasts are served in a room with views of both the ocean & the mountain. White tablecloths & beautiful presentations made the breakfasts, with daily menu changes, even more lovely. Tropical flowers & orchid plans abound both inside & out. The... More

We stayed at Waianuhea for only one night on the Big Island and sadly left the next day wanting more! Our short visit was an amazing experience that we are still talking about 2 months later. It is a wonderful B&B that has the best breakfast, dinner, rooms and the most pleasant staff. We will be back to the Big... More

We had a great stay at Waianuhea. It is in a quiet, remote hillside location yet not too far away from the coast or nearby Waimea. The common areas are extremely spacious and luxurious. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The host/service was friendly and accommodating. Best of all, there was a delicious breakfast in the morning. Our only... More

Top of the line. We have stayed over the years at many of the B&Bs on the Big Island. This is by far the best. From the views, hot tubs, service, food, wine, and beauty...nothing comes close to topping Waianuhea. Mahalo! More
