This was our 3rd B&B we stayed at on our honeymoon and we loved it! There are only 2 suites and they are on opposite ends of the building so they are very private. We loved the spaciousness of the suite and the private lanai with views of the Kona coastline. The breakfasts were huge and DELICIOUS. We definitely recommend... more

My husband and I stayed at Hale Hualalai Bed and Breakfast during our 4-day visit to the Big Island on our honeymoon. Lonn was a wonderful host, and the Hale Hualalai was terrific. There is an incredible view from the lanai to the ocean, and our room was very clean and comfortable. Having our own private small lanai was a... more

With only 2 units, you expect great attention and host Lon delivers. Twin spacious suites with large shower, whirlpool tub, king bed, sitting area, and private lanai. Though very dry on the grounds due to the drought, Lon has a variety of fruits and plants growing including his own little Kona coffee grove. The VOG spoiled what would be a... more

Thank you Lonn for a wonderful experience of a top notch Bed and Breakfast! Lots of travel tips, GREAT breakfasts, SUPER home grown coffee, AWESOME room with beach chairs and mats to take to the beach! We enjoyed it all as well as our morning conversations. Also, the coffee we bought is DELICIOUS. We had to force ourselves to give... more

We haven't stayed in many B&B's but we were impressed with Lon's exceptional place and agree with other reviewers who rate it highly. The rooms are incredibly spacious and well-appointed with high ceilings, jacuzzi and large bathroom, wonderful porch, comfortable king-size bed -- and fabulous views of the ocean, the best thing about the place! Lon is congenial and a... more

We found this B&B through the great reviews on this site. We stayed for 7 days and it more than lived up to our expectations. Our room was spacious, bright and beautiful - the king size bed was so very comfortable, the spa tub was delightful and the water pressure in the shower was perfect.. You would think that would... more

My wife and I stayed for seven nights at the Hale Hualalai and wish that we could have stayed even longer. A great deal has already been said about the owner Lonn, all we can say is that it is all true and he is the perfect host. You have never eaten such an amazing breakfast until you eat a... more

Our two night stay at Hale Hualalai - along with the sightseeing and local scene - was a major highlight of our three week trip to Hawaii. We have very fond memories of this brief stay and we have three pounds of the owner - Lonn Amour's - hand grown and processed Kona coffee - which we brought home to... more

Marianne & Greg say: This is the place, on the mountain, far from the madding crowd; roomy, cozy, private, quiet, well-appointed, superb breakfasts. We booked two nights. We wish we'd stayed for one or two more. Nice work, Lonn. Thanks. more

As we arrived we were heartly welcomed by the own Loon. Our room was great and we also had a whirlpool inside. The served breakfest with local fruits was just delicious. Loon is a really professional cook. more
