I stayed at the Dolphin Bay for 7 days over the holidays. The hotel is not deluxe, but very comfortable & convenient. Excellent value for money. Great for active folks. The staff & owners are very helpful and knowledge (enthusiastic) about the Big Island. I felt like I had my own private tour consultant. I will be back. more

I can just confirm previous reviews. The Dolphin Bay is an excellent choice for accommodation in Hilo. Very clean, extremely friendly staff. Don't expect a luxury room - hey, you are not paying for one. Solid gold value. Frog noise was not a problem for us, neither was lack of a/c. more
