We stayed for 2 nights, had breakfast at the table with other guests for one morning and had a packed b'fast to go the next morning. Both were great and you do not go hungry! We stayed in the Bamboo room and by far it is the smallest but we were not there much so it worked out ok. The... More

Stewart and Lori's relaxing B&B is located in a fabulous historic house built in the 1930's (I think), in a peaceful area of dignified houses and lush mature landscaping. The yards on their side of the street back up to a river gorge! The neighborhood will make you say, " This is exactly where I would want to live, if... More

OLD HAWAIIAN b&b is the place to be in HILO!!! You really get the sense of isolation without being isolated :) You are really in the middle of nature and you just have to drive 2 mins to reach the center :) Do you want a nice and healthy breakfast? This was overall a great bed and breakfast and great value. The backyard is amazing, very lush and full of delicious fruits; make sure you get Lori to give you "the tour". The breakfasts were amazing, fresh fruits (mostly) from the backyard, fresh smoothies and freshly baked pastries (the coconut scones and the monkey bread were my favorites!). Lori was... More

the food was excellent..the rooms were immaculate..Lory and Stewart are great hosts..I will stay there again when we visit the Island. The grounds have soo much to see, they are just far enough away from downtown that you feel safe, but close enough to get to the stores in 10min. Perfect spot to visit! More

We're happy to have stayed at The Old Hawaiian where our room was comfortable, the lanai inviting, the breakfasts delicious and the innkeeper was gracious, considerate, knowledgeable and professional. She gave us some excellent tips that we may incorporate in our own inn - thanks, Lory! More

My visit to Old Hawaiian B&B was very good. The location is in the middle of a suburban development. It has to be the quietest place I have ever been. At night you can hear a pin drop. The room was very nice, clean with a nice, clean bathroom. This is not a place that you would accidently find. You... More

My husband and I are from the Seattle area. This was my husbands first time to Hawaii and his only request was to see an active volcano, so we stayed in Hilo for 3 nights at The Old Hawaiian B&B. Lory was very pleasant. She is also from Washington state....so we seemed to have a similar way about us. The... More

My husband and I stayed here 2 nights of our honeymoon, in the Hawaiian room. Breakfast was fantabulous, and huge! Our room was really big and airy. We slept like babies listening to the sound of the rain outside. All in all, we really weren't thrilled with Hilo and it's rain - we're Floridians, and need our sunshine! - but... More

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at this B&B. Lori was the best host and made the best breakfasts - fresh baked homemade goods, yogurt, boiled eggs, fresh juice, smoothies, fresh fruit - i was always the last one to leave the breakfast table to gobble up the leftovers! Every time we came back from a long and... More
