I will begin by saying that this review is long overdue. My husband and I have stayed with Greg and Michael 7 times over the last 4 years. The plantation house itself is beautiful with extraordinary attention to detail. The breakfasts are fantastic with a great variety of food options available to meet everyone's tastes and needs. If your plan... More

Beautiful grounds, inviting plantation building, lush scenery and absolutely spectacular views while eating a delicious breakfast. We had booked a room with "only" a half bath, however we never had an issue with getting a shower. There is one common inside bath, very spacious and nice, as well as two outside lava rock showers. The rooms are provided with robes,... More

Ka'awa Loa Plantation was the 2nd stop on our triple stay and play around the island. It did not disappoint. Michael was a wonderful host, giving us great tips on where to eat dinner. His breakfasts were delicious, especially the fresh fruit, picked daily. The view and atmosphere from the lanai is unmatched. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Many Mahalos

We stayed here in June with our adult daughter who had the last minute had a change of plans, and decided to come with us to hawaii. They were so nice to offer her their small room that keep for early arrivals, etc. which meant she had a lovely room to herself. We arrived around 3:00 to warm brownies and... More

Ka'awa Loa Plantation is very much in the upper echelons of the B&B experience, and deserves a full 5* rating. The house is beautiful, immaculately kept (as are the gardens), and tastefully decorated. The view from the lanai is incomparable, down through lush tropical gardens to the bay beyond, and relaxation is the name of the game at any time... More

I stay in B&Bs almost exclusively when I travel, and this place is the best example of why I choose B&Bs. We were there May 11 & 12, 2013. I generally avoid hotels because I dislike how impersonal - even clinical - the hotel experience can often be, with all the rooms looking just alike and the valuables literally bolted... More

We stayed at Ka'awa Loa April 16, 17,18th...what a great way to start our vacation. It is hard to tear yourself away from the lanai...it is the perfect place to enjoy the ocean view, enjoy their plantation grown coffee, enjoy the daybed for a lazy nap, and enjoy the company of other guests. There is also a great hottub which... More

Ka'awa Loa Plantation is beautiful and Michael and Greg could not be more welcoming, accommodating or hospitable. They shared so much of their knowledge about the area with us. Breakfast we great and we even grilled and cooked dinner one night for fun. Outdoor showers are heavenly! Next time we would probably book an ocean view room--but we were very... More

My wife and I stayed at Ka'awa from March 25-27, 2013. Michael and Greg were wonderful hosts. Our room was very nice. We could use the kitchen facilities to cook our meals if we wished. The wrap around lanai with the view of the grounds and the ocean in the distance was great. The wonderful breakfast that Michael cooked up... More

Words cannot describe just how wonderful this B&B is - definitely the most amazing place I have ever stayed - this is an experience not to be missed. The hosts are wonderful; they have all the information you need about the island and go above and beyond the call of duty for all guests. They help recommend and book activities,... More
