I admit, I've reviewed this fabulous place before! I am such a big fan, though, that I thought I would report that it is still as wonderful as it was when we first stayed there two years ago. Greg and Michael are the best hosts: charming, funny, helpful, and kind but never intrusive. Coming down to a delicious breakfast every... More

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B (5 nights) in December 2011. Based upon our travel preferences, I located this property on the internet and began to investigate. It did not take long to realize it would fit our needs perfectly as it offered great lodging choices, a hot breakfast filled with variety, was a bit off... More

We stayed here for one night and loved the setting. The lanai is gorgeous with a great view of the water in the distance. There are also lots of fruit trees and bushes on the property making it really a plantation. The breakfast was great: fresh fruit, bread (including taro bread) and coffee. All the fruits are grown by the... More

My husband and I stayed with Greg and Michael in October as the first leg of our 25th anniversary trip to Hawaii. The place is amazing. The hosts are well prepared, welcoming, accommodating and so very kind. We stayed in the little cottage and it was lovely. It was a very short walk over to the big verandah for a... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Greg and Michael's wonderful Ka'awa Loa Plantation. They are terrific hosts and helped us plan short, but our adventured-filled time on the Kona Coast. Michael cooks a terrific breakfast, starring their plantation-grown fruits. We are still daydreaming about the delicious mango juice! Their home is beautiful and immaculately clean. We would definitely stay here... More

In one word, our stay at Ka'Awa Loa Plantation was fabulous. First of all, the hosts Greg and Michael are gracious or generous people. Whether it was cooking breakfast, making recommendations, or recounting stories - they could not have been better, kinder, or funnier. Secondly, the guesthouse is lovely. It is a Hawaiian style, plantation size house. The rooms are... More

We stayed here 3 nights and loved every minute - from the wonderful breakfast spread to the gorgeous house and its rooms, the hot tub and outdoor shower. Hosts could not have possibly been more 'hospitable' - they were wonderful story-tellers and cooks! The best possible start to our holiday - totally exceeded all expectations. Thank you! More

Our review is posted late...we stayed in May. We stayed for a few nights at this wonderful home. Greg and Michael were exceptional hosts. The property and main home are superb. The hot tub and outdoor shower are amazing. Food is delicious and the home has many quiet corners for privacy. Greg was generous to loan us snorkel equipment and... More

My wife and I stayed here for 4 days at the end of our honeymoon. Greg was a wonderful host and made a delicious breakfast everyday. We would eat on the lanai and watch the geckos climbing around. We stayed in the cottage, which was very clean and had more than enough room for us. We did not get to... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in December. We had an excellent stay here and would definitely come back! We used Ka'awa Loa as our base as we explored the Kona side of the island and the volcano park. Very happy that we stayed here instead of Kona. Beautiful plantation (true to pictures) with a wonderful... More
