My wife and I stayed here in Sep. of 2011 and thoroughly enjoyed our quarters. It's not fancy, but it is clean and economical. The town is very friendly, clean, and open. Don't miss the local museum also, as it is well worth the time to visit it. More

Loved it!! My husband and I have long avoided the Roundtop but when we read that it was under new management/ownership we had to give it another try. so glad we did. New owners are friendly and approachable and the cabin we stayed in was clean and charming. We stopped in on our way to Red Lodge and as usual,... More

I just spent 6 nights at this motel, and I loved it. It's a simple, family owned place. It's clean and quiet. The wi-fi connection is strong. There's cable TV. There's air conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave. The owners are helpful but unobtrusive. It's a 10 minute walk from the hot springs. It was great! I really enjoyed my... More

We stayed here for one night at the beginning of June. We were supposed to stay for two nights, but the guy behind the desk was kind enough to let us only stay for one. We found the staff to be generally clueless and unhelpful. We couldn't understand why they would just be sitting around on the porch all day... More

I stayed in room 3 for one night. The bathroom was clean and had great water pressure. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave me great advise about the hot springs and what to see while visiting the town. This is a small older motel with dated decor and carpets. That said, it was clean and comfortable. There... Relatively cheap and a clean bathroom are the only positives about our stay in this motel. A stale smell in the room, damp marks on the ceiling tiles, a lamp and TV that didn't work, litter behind the cupboard, ripped sheet all suggest that this is a motel to avoid if possible. No evidence of the promised coffee and buns... More

The location of the cabins next to what is essentially the main highway from Denver to Yellowstone, is not good. The locals seem to only have the thrill of driving above the speed limit in unmuffled diesel pickups around until midnight without police presence on the main st. (6th st.). Also the rooms were aged with stained carpets (pets welcome?)... More

After reading on Trip Advisor that the Roundtop Mountain Motel was rated number one, we decided to give it a try. We had stayed at the Best Western in Thermopolis before and loved it. We rented a cabin which we thought would be cozy and clean. When we checked in we noticed that the carpet was filthy dirty and had... More

We recently rented a cabin for an extended weekend. The rates were comparable with the larger budget chain motels in town. The property is very close to the state park and easy to find. The cabin captured the charm of a local motel and was decorated in a fishing theme. The kitchen was well stocked, allowing us to eat most... More
