My husband and I started tossing around the idea to go to a dude ranch a couple of years ago. We are parents of two daughters (12 and 10) who absolutely love horses so we thought a horse ranch out west may be a great place to spend a vacation. After countless hours researching horse ranches on the internet, I... More

Our family of 5 has spent 3 summer vacations with the Bishops at Medicine Bow Lodge and we are all looking forward to another one. The biggest draw for us is the "overnight" trips: riding up the mountain, spending the night in a tent (our boys sleep under the stars with the wranglers) and waking to the fragrant aroma of... More

What an absolutely wonderful place. We first visited the lodge in 2005 and our family has been back for four additional trips. We found the Lodge on the internet and didnt really know what to expect on our first trip. To say we were blown away by the experience is an understatement. We found Tim, Debbie and family to be... We visited Medicine Bow Lodge with our 4 and 5 year old sons. We had a wonderful time and our boys loved it. We took at least 2 trail rides each day including a beautiful sunset ride to the top of one of the mountains. The staff were amazing. They were so accommodating, always willing to cater our rides and... More

First of all, I'll start out by saying that my kids had the time of their lives. They want to go back and I'm pretty sure we will. However, there were times during my stay there that I felt we were the redheaded stepchild---there was a big group there and they had priority for being catered to. Perhaps it was... More

This is a place that you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the company! After a long day of snowmobiling our family and friends took advantage of the ping pong table, board games, the pool table or just relaxed by the fire! The wonderfully delicious meals prepared by Debbie, Tim and Mike were great! Hanging out and listening to all... More

Ok travelers, we travel a lot. It's fall break and I am usually the one begging the wife to go to the beach or islands. I was reluctant when she said we are going to a "dude ranch" in Wyoming. We flew into Denver and drove up to Wy. It was an awesome drive up to Saratoga, WY. It took... More

This is one of those places where you can say you feel like you're home while you are away from home (only with mountains and horses and lots of stuff to do!). It took less than 24 hours for my entire family (6 people whose ages range from 8 to 53) to feel completely comfortable here. The owners, Tim and... More

My 13 year-old daughter and I just returned home from a 5 day stay at the Medicine Bow Lodge and had the time of our lives. To be honest, we are usually more "high-end travelers"-- not to be obnoxious, but our family usually travels in more comfort and with more diversions. But, my daughter and I felt that it was... More

Our family ( husband, daughter, mother-in-law and myself) were visiting our son who lives in Saratoga----we spent 4 wonderful days at the Medicine Bow Lodge. The setting is just spectacular-----beautiful fields of wildfowers, fabulous scenic drives, creeks, rivers, stars---the works!!!----Our hosts, Tim and Debbie were just amazing---they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable-----the meals are just...
