This is a pretty much unmolested mid-century jewel. From the big keys on plastic tags to the beautiful terrazzo floors in the large bathrooms. The rooms are big with high cielings. Very cool and independantly owned. More

The Prairie Inn was the perfect place for us. Basic accommodations...but very clean. We were in Evanston visiting family, so we did not need a resort just a nice place to sleep. The room was large, nice bathroom, coffee and continental breakfast in the morning. We were very comfortable. More

We traveled 2 weeks from VIrginia to Idaho and back for a horse show. Our favorite stay was the Prairie Inn in Evanston. Wooden ceilings, big clean rooms, period pieces in the immense hallways.
