We decided to stay at the last minuate in Ephraim, We have stayed at the Trollhaugen several other times. When we got there they did not have any rooms but the host told us she had one room left at their other property. Every thing worked out fine and my daughters first trip to Door County was wonderful. We spent 2 nights at Trollhaugen B&B and absolutely loved it. We had a very spacious room upstairs with our own little balcony and fireplace (but it was still too warm out to use that!). The owners are fabulous people, very welcoming and personable. The breakfast each morning was delicious, we never knew what Terry was going to prepare for... More

The Trollhaugen Lodge should be in the dictionary next to "bed and breakfast"! It is comfortable, lovely--especially the quilts!--and quintessential Door County. Hot tub, beautiful trees, and the best breakfasts you will get anywhere when you stay in the lodge. Terry and Norma's hospitality cannot be beat!!! When they learned that my husband loved steel-cut oats, those oats appeared at... More

We were in Door County the last of August and spent 3 nights. The rooms were very nice, clean and quaint, It was all one could ask for. We stayed in the B&B because we heard Terry was a good chef. We are not sure what we liked the best, Terry's quiche Lorraine or his egg bake. I guess all... More

My partner and I wanted to get away for a long weekend after celebrating a union ceremony in our parish the weekend before. We had stayed with Norma and Terry before, in 2008, and had wanted to come back for a long time. We had the Fireplace Room, in the B&B, and enjoyed Terry's breakfasts Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday.... More

We loved the Trollhaugen Lodge. We stayed at the B&B in a second floor room with a small but nice balcony. The room was cozy and furnished nicely. Loved the quilt on our bed. Terry and Norma are wonderful hosts and couldn't have been nicer. I felt as though we had truly made new friends. We had breakfast each morning... More

When in Door County we stay at Trollhaugen's Log Cabin. It is a great log cabin experience for something different than hotel rooms. The cabin is quiet and tucked on the edge of the hotel property and is very private~the deck off the back is elevated high over the secluded woods where we liked to sit and unwind at the... More

I stayed one night, and was lucky to find a room available for just one night on an August weekend in Door County. The place is small, and they offer motel units, bed and breakfast, and a few cabins. I had one of the motel units. The room was big, and set back from the street a bit, so it... More

We come here frequently and have stayed in every section - bed & breakfast, log cabin and motel. Norma & Terry are gracious hosts and have even left me birthday cards on "the day" when we come to celebrate that. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. If you're looking for ultra-hip, sterile new lodgings, this is probably not your place,... More
