I had to stay in Yakima on business but there were two huge events in town and none of my usual "favorites" had any rooms. I was glad to find this one. The staff were friendly. The room was average. The only problem with it was the thermostat didn't appear to work and the heat was either REALLY on or not on at all.
My main beef with this motel is that the rooms are all pre-assigned, so even though we checked in early and were willing to wait for our room, we had to take the one they had us booked into on the computer...across a rather seedy alley, downstairs and next to the railway line. No amount of wheedling could make the friendly desk clerk switch us with someone else. The trains weren't bad but the upstairs neighbors were a herd of elephants having a party. On the whole, an average motel, okay for a night or two. Ask for upstairs and at the front when you book.
