My grandfather built this as his home with sheer stubborn determintation and my father Carl Dean Johnson was born in it. He came from Norway and was known for building quite a few homesteads around the Methow Valley. He is buried along with all the Johnsons in Beaverbrook Cemetary outside of Twisp. Good place with some disappointments. The owner is very likable, but located off site so you may not see her. Has a clean kitchen for great cooking in. The room was tiny - overpriced for what it was ($60 single in off season), but lucked out and only 1 other family there while I was. On a loud, busy hwy... More
