Miko's Guest House is a wonderful getaway full of sweet details - embroidered bathrobes, beautiful dishes, lovely artwork, a couch made for talking long into the night, and the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. Just a short 20-minute walk -- or 8-minute bike ride -- into the town of Vashon, MiKo's Guest House is your gateway to surrounding beaches, trails, farms stands, art galleries, shopping, live music, historic theatre, coffee & tea shops, delicious eateries, and a bucolic lifestyle--for a weekend, a week or a month! Close to town, yet feels miles away! With its own West-facing deck, MiKo's Guest House sits 100 feet from the road and 40 feet from the main house -- separated by a fence -- to ensure your privacy. The Western side of our fenced-in seating area gives you space to yourselves, and borders 7 acres of pasture, so you get to hear the frogs at night, the geese flying overhead, and the birds in the morning! Enjoy your own furnished cabin, decorated with art from island artists, a great selection of good reading, and a shelf of island arts & crafts to purchase (along with the art on the walls), and a dining table set for a romantic dinner for two! You'll get a good night sleep at MiKo's, too! A goose down featherbed topped by a goose down comforter, all placed over a very firm Guilmont queen-size mattress! Comfy robes, slippers and sandals for lounging and your walk to the outdoor hot tub. Wood-burning stove, WiFi, & a basket of island treats (wine, bread, cheese, coffee, tea, & chocolates) greet you upon arrival, and a full kitchen filled with paraphernalia fit for a gourmet chef! Year round outdoor gas BBQ. On-site therapeutic, hot stone, body wrap, salt glow, or Swedish massage available (by appointment only) by Erin Mawhirter, LMP. Relax in our outdoor hot tub with a variety of Jacuzzi jets creating an invigorating back and foot massage in an open seating plan. From the soft yet penetrating full back massage of ten Precision jets to the invigorating lower back massage of a powerful JetStream® jet, a customized hydro massage experience awaits you!
