My spouse and other family members traveled to the Tacoma area to visit a family member who's in the Army at Ft. Lewis and who's getting ready to deploy for a second tour of duty to Iraq. We stayed at Hotel Murano for 4 nights and were very pleased with the hotel. The hotel itself was very clean, modern, and... more

The hotel is an art exhibit, in and of itself. There are numerous pieces on display through out the hotel, I found something new everday. The prices were reasonable and the views from the higher floors were spectacular, luckly I was on one of those floors. The hotel staff were very nice, professonal, and helpful. The rooms are nice, a... more

Checkd into Murano for a week's stay. The artwork is stunning and the rooms are very comfortable, although the A/C unit was a bit loud. I have never stayed anywhere with faster elevators. I was on the 12th floor, and never waited more than 15 seconds for an elevator to the lobby. From the lobby, there was always an elevator... more

I might be a little too used to Vegas hotels as we travel there a few times a year, so perhaps my standards are a little higher than most. The parking was a surprise. Charging for the guests of your hotel to park there seems really shady, especially since we did not find this out in advance. This is the... more

Our stay at Hotel Murano was something of an accident: during the height of our recent heatwave, I decided to find a hotel room for a couple of nights so the kids and I could get a decent night's sleep. Fate [and Priceline] brought us to Tacoma. We self-parked [$15 a night for self or valet unless you get a... more

The design of the rooms are hip and modern looking. The bathrobes in the bathroom are a nice touch. I was very comfortable there. The location is also the best for the theaters, museums, Thursday Farmers Market on Broadway, etc. I would say there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The front desk people were friendly and... more

My wife and I spent our first night here on our Honeymoon while touring the pacific northwest and found that Hotel Murano gave us a perfectly comfortable night's sleep. The hotel has an edgy modern feel and very clean with comfortable beds. Loved our dinner at the restaurant. Only a few blocks from the waterfront. more

Wanted to do some planning prior to arriving so used website option to email for information--3 days later, no response from email question. Did get info after arriving, but not without some extra work on my part once I arrived! Rooms are comfy. My room has a great view! Meeting rooms have no outside light or easy outside access so... more

The old Sheraton building remains somewhat the same wxcept entryway is a done in glass. There is a fabulous collectionof glass throughout the hotel . The glass tis stunning and unexpected in what used to be a very plain hotel. Art greets you on each floor as you exit the elevator, the lobby has a variety of styles of glass... more

Stayed at here for a convention and it was superb. It's so incredible to be in an environment devoted to art that is so beautifully displayed in a modern, recently remodeled building. The hotel is centrally located, but slightly uphill and tucked away. It's an easy walk to the streetcar, to the Tacoma Art Museum, The Museum of Glass, The... more
