First off -- if you are looking for luxury, you won't find it at Mineral Lake Resort. If you want a peaceful and serene experience, the resort is the place for you. The manager, Doreen, is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Very sweet, always smiling, and very accommodating. I immediately liked her as soon as I... More

We went there to fish for the day and rent a pontoon boat, it was a small, kinda dumpy place. The boats were old and not in very good condition. We were told we could get a nice boat when we made our reservation, but it was old and didn't run very well. There is no parking right by the... More

My family and I love Mineral Lake. You are off the grid, and the people there are wonderful1 If you are a true angler, and love to fish more than almost anything, this is the place for you. The rustic cabins are peaceful and the boat rentals reasonable. Being on Mineral Lake in the morning nist with a hot cup... More

Where do I begin? OK, the 'cabin'. So… if you are imagining a quaint woodsy rustic cabin with a woodstove then dismiss that image from your mind. What you get is basically a sad, pathetic little shack. Everything about it is cheap and worn out, from maybe the 1950s. Nothing whatsoever has been improved or replaced since then. Pots and... More

We came with some friends (4 adults, 5 kids) for the weekend. The cabins were filthy. Flies, bugs and it seemed like every surface was a little grimy. The kitchen flooring had 1" bumps in it and our refrigerator was leaking. Beds were uncomfortable and had loud springs. Bunk beds were unsafe for children. One didn't have a side rail... More

We just came back from a 3 night stay at Minersl Lake Resort. It is hard to use the word "resort" when refering to this place. Run down, outdated, dirty are words that better describe this place. i was there with my four young kids and they had a greattime, oblivious to the fact that the beds were extremely uncomfortable... We stayed in the campground Oct. 2009 no problems. This year tried to visit again, and we were told by a lady who called back that we must pay AHEAD of time, before we get there. I offered a CC number to hold the spot, but she insisted on payment. This is the off-season, and we wanted 2 days during... More

I would rate this very high if the beds were comfortable. This is a old fishing resort. The lake is peaceful and tranquil, I loved that. The full bed was old, old open spring box with mattress on top. So if you rolled over it shook like an earthquake. The plan was I would sleep on the bunk but the... More

My family and I have been coming to Mineral Lake Resort for years. The fishing is Awsome - they say it is the home of the 10lb trout and they aren't kidding - we caught a 10.5lb one (well okay my husband caught it but I had to net it). We go up every year with our two kids who... More

The Mineral lake resort is a fishing resort. The key word here is fishing. This is not a romantic getaway. Pros: Fishing, great prices, exellent fishing dock, swiming and boat launch are right next door. Water-skiing if you have a ski boat. Great staff. Cons: Outdated and run down cabins. The local tavern has pizza, but other than that you... More
