We stayed here on Oct 31, 2009. When we entered the room for the first time and pulled back the sheets to take a nap we discovered a bug in our bed. We killed the bug and didn't think anything of it. After going to sleep later in the night, we woke up at around 5 o'clock in the morning... more

Unfortunately, this situation was not handled very well – we failed to respond to the guests needs. I have personally spoken with the guests and have forwarded a full refund in addition to a voucher for a future stay for the guest. The morning of the guests check-out I was apprised of the situation and instigated an investigation in which...

National Park Inn is an appealingly rustic historic building nestled in the trees at an elevation of 2,761 feet, easy on the lungs for those used to lower altitudes. The locale of National Park Inn is called Longmire, but only the inn and associated facilities are there; note there is no gas available in Mt. Rainier National Park, no ATM,... more

We were pleased with our 3-night stay here. It is a good place from which to explore Rainier National Park, although it is a long drive (ca 2 hour) to the Sunrise Visitor's Center. The rooms are rustic, but totaly acceptable, as long as you get a room with private bath. The retaurant is excellent, not quite luxurious but more... more

I arrived about noon at this facility, and inquired as to the availability of rooms, The only one left was a handicapped room on the main level. The room was simple, comfortable, and just what I needed to relax. Other reviewers made note of no TV, phone, internet, no AC,but that is what you get in one of the US'... more

We recently spent two nights at the National Park Inn. It isn't a very big place - about 20 rooms, and our room was quiet with a small private bath. There isn't any A/C but there was a window fan that was adequate at night despite warm days. The front porch is great for relaxing and has an awesome view... more

We paid over $100 for a room worth about $30 a night. The was no elevator, no air conditioning, no tv, and no phone in the room. The room was small, grim, and dirty. There was no room service and the kitchen closes at 8 pm! The service in the 'dining room' was incredibly slow. The carpets were stained and... more

The room was nice, the den area delightful, the trail easy and fun BUT chef Tripp's wonderful veggie dish was fantastic. Best meal my wife had on our 5 week vacation. Thank you Tripp (Dale) more

The lodge was pleasant though with minimal charm, unlike other NPS lodges. The room was spacious though the private bath was tiny relative to the size of the room. The dining room, however, was another story: we stayed there Valentine's Day weekend which is presumably a busy time, but the dining room was understaffed for every meal. We had to... more

The only place to stay inside Mt. Rainier Park during the winter since Paradise Inn is closed until May 15. The rooms with private bath where all taken so we ended up in a room with a sink but no toilet or shower. These facilities were located in the hall outside the room. Not as big an inconvenience as it... more

We stayed at the National Park Inn for just one night in June 2008. It was a great and relaxing experience. The historic hotel is surrounded by forests and offers a great view from the great Mount Rainier. You can easily sit on one of the chairs on the front porch all day long enjoying the view. Maybe you'll see... more
