Don't wait until summer to enjoy the grandeur of Mt Rainier National Park - especially when you spend a night at the Mt Rainier Inn at Longmire with their $159 Winter Special B&B package. We went to snowshoe and did a number of different trails - including Paradise, Narada Falls, and the Wonderland Land trail which leaves right from the... More

January 11, 2011 me and my wife and daughter stayed at National Park Inn. This is the only available hotel as Paradise closes in Winter. We saw a memorial for Ranger Margaret Anderson who was gunned down January 1. We wrote something in the condolence book. It was a moving moment for us. May God bless and provide for the... More

The rooms were drab and the furnishings spartan. I kept wondering if they purposely did this to make it authentic back to the 1950s. I don't get this because a simple picture or two on the walls would have warmed the place up substantially. The view outside of our window was pretty. The common area with the big fireplace was... We scheduled a weekend stay at the National Park Inn in early November for a relaxing getaway. I found the Inn a little too quiet for my own preferences. No tv, no phone, no internet and outside held the chill of twenty degree days and wet ground kept us primarily inside. We tried hanging out in the fireplace area of... More

We were originally scheduled to stay at the Paraidse Inn at the base of mt. Ranier but we had to change our schedule and ended up staying at the National Park Inn and are we glad we did! First of all, even in late July, the area at the base of the mountain (including the Paradise Inn) still had several... More

The staff at this inn was extremely friendly and accommodating. We felt at ease and relaxed during our stay. Room had bathtub, but shower was down the hall. The restaurant aimed to please our every request. The location is close to Paradise and is surrounded by many great trails for hiking. We would choose this inn for a return visit... More

Staying at the National Park Inn was a big surprise. My expectations for this particular lodging were below average. I expected a small room with outdated bathroom, dripping water, squeaking doors, metal beds, old sheets and heavy old blankets. We remember staying a few years ago in one hotel in Glacier National Park with gorgeous setting but quality of accommodations... More

After a coudy, foggy, and misty day, we decided to ditch the tent and got a room at the National Inn. We were inquiring for a room at Paradise, but they were booked so the staff called to the Inn and helped us out. We awoke to a cloudy day but a spectacular view of Mount Rainier! Our first of... Pleasant rooms and a gorgeous view! One complaint though. My spouse is diabetic and needs to keep insulin cooled, for which we always buy an inexpensive styrofoam cooler when travelling. When we asked for ice at the front desk (per the in room guide) we were told to buy a bag at the general store next door or they would... More

Staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Wonderful view out the window. Far better restaurant than at the Paradise Inn. Stayed 2 nights and would go back. More
