I wanted to like the Camas Hotel... it's cute, old fashioned, and staffed by sweet people. But the bottom line is, unless you can get a decent night's sleep, a hotel is not worth staying in. And this one wasn't. Forget the train. The train was nothing... a distant song in the night. The problem was that the walls were... More

We are very sorry this guest did not sleep well at our hotel. In our defense, neither the noise or the TV problem were reported to us during the visit, so we could not address the issues. Our walls are actually insulated and soundproofed, but there is a limit to what one can do regarding a restless person from above.... More

We were attending an event nearby and did not want to stay in a chain hotel/motel and found this hotel online. Very well appointed, quiet and clean. Nice, light breakfast included. We stayed in a front room, looking out onto the main street and it was not noisy at all. Helpful staff. Quite a few restaurants and quaint shops along... More

We stayed here one night to explore the area and we pleasantly surprised. The rooms are small, but nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable. We even asked for information on the bed, bedding and pillows! The original room we got had noisy neighbors upstairs, so we were upgraded to the roomier honeymoon suite for a nominal fee! Great stay!... More

We found our rooms to be neat, comfortable, and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and I didn't notice noise from the trains to be the issue that some others complained about. The breakfast included quiche in addition to the fresh fruit, cereal, bagels and pastry- although we did have to ask the second day for another quiche to be... More

I stayed at the Camas Hotel in honour of the anniversary of losing my mother. I have traveled many times and have yet to be treated so graciously. I was presented beautiful flowers and was so touched. The rooms were wonderful and well appointed. I felt so comfortable by myself and would have loved to stay longer. Everyone there treated... More

We had chosen this hotel from looking at previous reviews. The room was somewhat nice, clean, but dreary because of the dark drapes. The wood was very dark, so the combination of dark plain drapes and dark wood was not very cozy. There was an electric fireplace, but it was not well appointed -- it was very small and not very... We pay attention to all guest comments. It's taken us a while to respond to this one because we wanted to make some changes. Breakfast - we used to check the breakfast buffet every 15 minutes. We have reduced that to every 10 minutes, and we have installed a phone in the breakfast room so anyone wants to request anything... More

My husband and I stayed at the Camas hotel for one night for a short romantic getaway. We booked the executive/honeymoon suite with the romance package. The room was very nice, the bed was super comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub was wonderful, but the room was very noisy. In the bathroom you can hear people talking in the next room... More
