Spent one night at the beginning of June 2012 and had a wonderful time. Denise (owner) was very friendly and accommodating. My room was perfect—lovely old antiques, a nice poster bed, and a nice bathroom. Breakfast was so good. I definitely recommend this b and b. It is about five blocks west of Colonial Williamsburg proper, very easy walk.

Everything was so cozy and the innkeeper was very warm and inviting and willing to tell me all the best places to go for dinner or shopping. The breakfast was very top notch. I had a peach French toast with real whipped cream and lots of bacon and a souffle of eggs on the side and also a mound of... More

The owner was an incredible hostess. I loved to hear the history of the inn and enjoy breakfast recreations of the prior B&B owner...phenomenal! The inn is a short walk to local restaurants and events on William and Mary’s campus. My husband and I stayed on the top floor in the Treetop suite...it was so cute and the bed and... More

We stayed in the tree top suite with our two kids and the extra space was wonderful! We had two rooms and 3 beds.....it was nice to have the room to spread out. Our host was very friendly and the breakfasts were delicious! The location was great as well....a 2 minute drive and 10 min walk to the Colonial area.... More

Oh, what a find! The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The rooms were clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated with gorgeous furnishings and cozy fireplaces. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the breakfasts and the delicious baked treats that appeared like heavenly magic each day before we returned. The location was fantastic -- just... More

We selected this B&B because of the pictures on the website and we were so pleased with our choice. The location is great, only a half mile from history Williamsburg and very close to William and Mary college. The hostess is a very nice lady (with 2 adorable dogs), who happily chats with guests, offers directions and recommended all three... More

If you are seeking a home away from home in Colonial Williamsburg, the Applewood Colonial Bed and Breakfast is the place for you. We have never stayed at a more hospitable bed and breakfast than here. We stayed in the Treetop Suite, which was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The mattress on the queen sized bed was heaven to sleep on.... More

We booked our room at the Applewood after a quick visit to the website, because of its availability and proximity to the William & Mary campus. What a great choice! Our room was beautifully decorated, with thoughtful touches like a corkscrew and wineglasses on the bureau and cold drinks in the mini-fridge. The bed was one of the most comfortable... More

A party of 3, we all really enjoyed our time at this B&B, so peaceful and beatuful and confortable. Many acts of kindness by the hostess (advices, help with driving us back and forth to the train station); great conversations with the hostess; sweet dogs. Just a lovely experience.
