My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Cornwall room, which was painted a beautiful red, the room was nicely decorated, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast in the morning - the quiches were excellent and we loved their selection of teas, breads, cereals, and... More

next door to a winery with 2 good restuarants, what more could you ask? good sevice, nice quiet area, wonderful complimentary breakfast. Nice old country setting, we stayed in the Normandy room, very quaint and quiet. Nice features, LARGE tub w/ shower. If you want a quiet getaway tuck away in a bucolic winery (The Williamsburg Winery) this is a great place to get lost. Although near one our oldest settlements, each room is based on Old World regions (Champagne, Burgundy, Venetzia, Andilutia) filled with antiques in a English Country Inn. The food was excellent and creative. The staff friendly (but no... More

Right in the heart of what was old world America (Williamsburg) comes a wonderful country hotel with old world European charm and warmth. What a combination; however only successfull when executed by this incredibly friendly and caring staff. They actully do care and bring new meaning to helpful and friendly. The food was such that you never wanted (or needed)... More

My girlfriend and I arrived at the Wedmore just before Hurricane Irene hit in August 2011. The whole region was prepared for calamity, and I think the staff of the Wedmore was a little surprised that we didn't cancel. In fact, we were the only guests for several days as less intrepid souls fled for higher ground. The rest of... More

Stayed in Vienna room last night. Decor beautiful, staff friendly and efficient, food delicious. This is a very relaxing country inn. The view from our room was an oasis of green. Only complaint was you could hear walking on the hardwood floors. I realize the hardwood floors are part of the ambience, but the noise can be disturbing late at... More

The Wedmore is located within the Williamsburg Winery. The property is beautiful and the staff is charming, The breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the Cornwall Room #4. It was nicely decorated with a quaint shower and bathtub to relax in. We enjoyed a tour of the winery and dinner at the Cafe Provencial, the on-sight restaurant. The food was... More

My husband and I planned a weekend at Williamsburg Winery and Wedmore Place with another couple as a friends get-away. We went onto the WW website and found a "Taste and Stay" package that included a tour/tasting, dinner at the restaurant in the hotel, a room, and breakfast. What a great package! Let's start with the tasting. For an upcharge... More

I stayed here on a recent Saturday night and was so pleased with the Wedmore Place! We had a bit of a hard time finding it -- there's no obvious sign pointing to the hotel entrance and the door was closed, so we wandered over to the winery to inquire about the hotel. After we backtracked to our original spot,... More

We very much appreciate the kind comments regarding Wedmore Place’s amenities, atmosphere and service. Although less positive, we are also glad to be made aware of the noise issue, particularly in the hallways. We believe that the hardwood floors that were used throughout Wedmore Place add to its charm and ambiance, but we recognize that guest comfort is paramount. Accordingly,... More
