We had a gift certificate for it and, having never stayed at a B&B before, we were a tad apprehensive. Visions of Petticoat Junction, parlor games, and one bathroom for the the population in general sprang to mind. We steeled ourselves for stuffiness and fake Tiffany floor lamps. This was NOT the case. The proprietors were delightful, the room was... More

If your idea of a get-away is a Republican National Committee Meeting, than this is the place for you! The inn is lovely, immaculately clean and serves a good breakfast but I wish I had known the name "White House" referred to the innkeepers political views, not the exterior color of the inn. We were greeted by the innkeeper with,... More

Hi Arlene, Thank you so much for taking the time to express your feelings regarding your recent stay. I am sorry you were unhappy with the "political humor" that was present during your stay. We definitely never want to make you feel like you are at a "Republican National Committe Meeting" nor involve you in political discussion if you prefer... More

During our 41 years of marriage we have been to Colonial Williamsburg 2 times with our son, once during Spring Vacation and once for the summer vacation, but each time just stayed in a hotel. My husband and I always talked about seeing the sites at Christmas time and decided this would be the year.I searched the internet for a place to stay... I selected The White House from the internet website in Oct/Nov. 2011. The pictures of how this B&B is decorated at Christmastime really drew me in--in reality it was even more beautiful and cozy and tastefully decorated (the only thing missing was the snow!) than in the pictures! It is set back from the street and both exterior and interior... More

My husband and I were approaching our 25th anniversary, and we decided to celebrate by visiting Colonial Williamsburg. We had been researching a place to stay near by the Historic village. Having never had the experience of staying in a Bed and Breakfast, we decided to try it out. We had googled and found A Williamsburg White House Bed and... More

The B&B was very nice but there was not the normal warm and welcoming experience that we expect when staying at a B&B. The owners were welcoming but not interactive with the guests. The whole process of selecting your breakfast entree the night previous with a threat of no breakfast if the menu was not turned in was a little... More

We are very surprised to see your displeasure with our Inn. You certainly did not bring any of your concerns to our attention during your stay. If you were uncomfortable at night, all you had to do is pick up the phone and let us know. If you do not like our breakfast menu policy, I am sorry. It is... More

My husband and I recently stayed at A Williamsburg White House B&B as we traveled from Texas to Virginia, Connecticut, Missouri and back to Texas. On the way to Virginia we realized we had miscalculated our time. When we called and spoke with Debbie explaining our mistake asking if there was any way we could shift our time forward a... More

This was our first visit to Williamsburg and what a delightful introduction it was. The signs in the parking lot were an indication of the whimsical way Debbie and John Keane run the Inn. We parked in the "Press Corps" slot, our hint that all things White House were in store, and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the... More

When in Williamsburg why would you NOT want to stay in a B&B? You are surrounded with period decorations in a beautiful home. We chose to stay in the West Wing in the FDR suite, which was immaculately clean, quiet, and spacious. John and Debbie were our hosts and made sure that everything was to perfection. Our breakfasts were incredible.... More

My fiance and I were trying to find a fun weekend get-away for our anniversary and we definitely found it at the Williamsburg White House! We stayed in the Lincoln Suite, which was spacious and cozy. We thought it was really cool and different that it had his and her bathrooms! Debbie and John are excellent hosts and keep an... More
