Lovely public areas and within walking distance of the Colonial part. However, WiFi and cellular service were difficult. Upkeep of room was disappointing - HVAC leak in the ceiling. Staff seemed overwhelmed at breakfast, and it was not particularly busy. However, staff was also very willing to try to help and find solutions. more

We stayed in a colonial house, Masonic Lodge, because hotel was sold out. A pain, with bathroom on the second floor, and not very good with little kids. The house is furnished fine and heated well, and housekeeping staff are very responsive, but just not good for this kind of travel. Room service and fridge is available here but no... more

We stayed three nights at the Colonial Houses Tavern. Quaint, but noisy. Our room was in the hallway nearest the entrance. The building is old, so the doors are wooden and tend to slam shut. So when guests enter and leave, there is quite a bit of noise. The sound between rooms carries quite nicely, so don't expect privacy, and... more

No room in the main inn but the provided a suite in a colonial house at a good rate. Evening meal was good but found out later this was in "casual" restaurant, not their fine dining restaurant. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. more

This hotel thoroughly deserves its 5 stars. The overall property is superb, well furnished with nice, period style rooms. Great swimming pools (3) and well kept grounds. Staff were universally pleasant and attentive without being overly deferential. We sampled (snack) lunch, dinner and breakfast and all were good. The room was very large and well appointed throughout. To top it... more

This is what a well run hotel looks like and I will take a few minutes to share my thoughts. From the moment we stepped foot on the Williamsburg Inn property we were greeted in the most welcoming and professional manner. Our two day, one night stay was perfect certainly due to a number of individuals who helped us directly,... more

Maybe I'm a country bumpkin, but I certainly wasn't used to the atmosphere of the Williamsburg Inn. It was beautiful and luxurious, and the attention to detail was stunning. But the attitude of the staff ran hot or cold, depending on the individual. We arrived at the Inn and, oops, they had valet parking. Our car, after almost a week... more

This beautiful hotel, a member of "The Leading Small Hotels of the World" is undoubtedly the best location in Williamsburg. Of course, you have to pay for that kind of luxury and service, but for what you get, the Williamsburg Inn is hard to beat. From the well-appointed, spacious rooms, to the beautiful grounds facing the Golden Hourseshoe Golf Course,... more

We stayed here between Christmas and New Year's if you can call it that. Upon arrival we ate in their premium restaurant , The Regency Room where we contracted food poisoning. We spent the next 36 hours extremely ill in our room, not seeing anything of Colonial Williamsburg. Despite being diagnosed with food poisoning by the hotel's doctor, they have... more

It was a cold winter getaway when we stayed at this beautiful Inn. It really is first class...services, people, accommodations, amenities, and nearby historic attractions. When we arrived at our spacious, well laid out suite, we asked the front desk to have the “fireman” come, bring some firewood, and light our fireplace. It quickly warmed the room and us. Even... more
