Charming? Yes, beautifully appointed. Historic? Everywhere. Beautifully landscaped? Stunning. Best location in town for lodging? No doubt. Had high expectations, and left disappointed. No greeting at entrance, location of check in desk not really clear. No bellman to help. Never even saw one. Scuff marks on the walls of our room. Stained carpet in room. Bathrobes would have been nice.Traveled... More

Check in experience was excellent. Bellman and front desk were beyond reproach. Since we got there @ 9:30 AM, the room was not ready. Got a cell phone call when room was ready. Bellman had already put luggage in the room. The room was quiet. The hotel is billed as "luxury" accommodations, it is not. The furnishings are of Marriott... More

I've stayed here a number of times, attending conferences each time. They do a great job with conferences: food, staff and rooms. The hotel rooms have period decorations and creaky wood floors. The beds are comfortable and everything is clean. The bathroom this time was on the tiny side, but fine for one person. Very quiet. The hotel staff is... More

Here on business for a change, I have stayed in a colonial house but not the lodge which is clean comfortable and of course convenient. Nice work space in the room and high speed Internet, not much more to ask for

Three nights here for our son's graduation from William & Mary's law school helped add to the sense of joy and accomplishment--as well as having a great place to be in on Mother's Day. Everything was wonderful--from parking in the covered garage to the comfortable beds, the level of cleanliness, the amenities (spa shampoo, lotion, conditioner, soap), free fresh coffee... More

This was the 6th time we stayed at the lodge. We arrived to find the room not clean with make-up on the floor and brown stains. The room was in disrepair with mopboards broken and paint peeling. The elevator smelled dirty and the carpets were stained and worn in the main common areas. We were not notified that the dining... More

We just returned from 5 nights at the Williamsburg Lodge, and had a fantastic experience. My son was getting married nearby, and we needed a cluster of hotels that would accomodate people with various financial means. We worked with Michelle, the group contact person, who arranged for rooms at all 4 related hotels (Williamsburg Inn in the $300-400 range, Williamsburg... More

Spent 4 days / 3 nights at the Lodge. Terrific location; buffet breakfast standard fare, dinner very good. Could not be more convenient to the historic area, and a very pleasant walk to Merchant's Square. The only issue is the site layout. Very convention center. Most rooms have no decent view, but you don't come to Colonial Williamsburg to sit... More

I know that the bed is not the most important quality of a hotel, but I have slept in many hotel rooms and the bed at the Williamsburg Lodge was the best. I didn't want to leave! The rest of the hotel was nice too. The front desk was helpful and explained all the various things going on in Williamsburg.... More

Our family of two adults and 2 children aged 12 and 8 stayed at the Lodge for a week in a room with 2 double beds and a pull-out sofa. The room was large enough to accommodate us comfortably. Room always clean though carpet worn Decor was pleasingly colonial-inspired. Grounds impeccable. We stayed in the furthest building from the front... More
