Even though we live locally, this was our first visit to The Inn at Vaucluse Spring. We have stayed at numerous locations in the US, Mexico and the Caribbean, but this quiet location in the ridges of Virginia wins the prize for relaxation. Barry, Neil and their staff have the perfect scenario for a peaceful get away. During our stay,... More

I have visited the Inn at Vaucluse Spring several times in past years, and it has always been a delight. The hosts are warm and welcoming; the historic manor house has been restored in a loving, meticulous and elegant way, and the other buildings have unique charm, as well. Barry and Neil are unfailingly welcoming and attentive to each detail... More

My husband and I have been to many of Virginia’s finest inns, and I can honestly say that we’ve never had a better inn experience than at Vaucluse Spring. We stayed in a room in the Chumley Homeplace, and since we were the only guests that night (a Thursday in January), we had the entire house to ourselves: lovely bedroom... More

My wife and I have been regular guests at the Inn, and we've never had a bad experience. Each January we spend a long weekend there with two other couples, and we stay in the Chumley homeplace. It's our favorite during the winter, but we have also stayed in the Mill Studio, the log cabin, and the Gallery. Each place... More

This was to be my first trip to the USA and I booked for my husband Gareth and I online after looking at TripAdvisor. Barry and Neil called us in the UK and we were impressed by their kindness and friendliness right then. When we arrived in Virginia at the Vaucluse Spring we were greeted by our host and Chef... The warmth and hospitality of the Innkeepers harmonize perfectly with this charming rustic and polished Inn. Every visit is like coming home. Comfortable, welcoming, cozy - a place you can visit, if only for a couple of days, but truly relax. Yes, you could set off each day and tour the Valley, returning at day's end, but simply staying on... More

My wife and I flew in from San Antonio, Texas to bring in the new years with friends at the Inn. We arrived late on Dec 29th and settled in at the cabin, a cottage off the main house that was a tobacco drying building brought to the property years earlier. The fireplace was very welcoming, which helped shed the... More

We four couples have been going to The Inn at Vaucluse Spring for New Year's Eve for 6 years and we have always had a super time! The owners, Barry and Neil, are very gracious hosts and seem to give The Inn a special attraction. We have stayed at a number of Inns and we know of no other place... More

My husband and I have travelled and stay in many B&Bs around the world. The Inn at Vaucluse Spring has definitely been one of our favorite places. Neil and Barry were warm and friendly, the room was perfect, and the food was amazing! We enjoyed every one of the 6-course meal, not to mention the freshly baked pretzel bread and... More
