Clean, large room, basic amenities (tea/coffee, shampoo, lotion) plus iron. Were there on a Friday night, but although well-booked, it was quiet/no partying. Thin linens (especially the sheets) and the wallpaper seams in the bathroom were just starting to peel. Cereal and toaster foods for breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful with directions. No reason not to stay, but no...

The front desk was nice and it was very easy to check in and out. The breakfast was simple, and delicious. The hotel is very homey. It felt like a home. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are perfect. Good job.

Stopped here for one night recently on a road trip. The motel is older but basically in good condition. The staff were all very helpful whether talking to us about restaurants or the historical significance of the city. Would stay here again. The location is very close (walking distance or a free trolley ride) to the historical downtown area.

If you want to stay in one of those super sanitized chain hotels in some place that looks like every other exit off the highway, this might not be the place for you. Some say they think this hotel is in a bad part of town. I would say this hotel is in a unique and interesting part of town....

Stayed here for a Fun Sister Weekend in August 2011. The hotel is in a great location for visiting the historic town of Staunton...walking distance to all shopping, restaurants and attractions, trolley stop just across the street. However, the accommodations are not very well cleaned. The coffee pot in our room still had coffee in the bottom of the pot...

Our first night in July was OK. Standard for a cheap hotel. But on the return trip with an increased charge, the room assigned to us had a clogged toilet. When we complained to the front desk, the gentleman gave my husband a plunger to fix it himself! He was unsuccessful and we had to request a room change. Next...
