We stayed at the Microtel Inn in Staunton on our drive from NYC to the NC mountains. The hotel is convenient to I-81. The rooms are simple but just what you need on a roadtrip. The outdoor pool is a nice surprise. more

The room, with 1 queen bed, was tiny - a small wardrobe against the wall opposite the bed had a sloped top which had the TV perched on it - awkward to view.
