If you drive through Scottsville on Rt. 20, you no doubt will not be able to miss the large rooster in front of Lumpkins restaurant. I am not sure when Lumpkins opened but it has been in Scottsville as long as I can remember, which says alot as restaurants in our small town seem to come and go. The food is not gourmet, more like country cooking at a good price. It is family friendly and while you are waiting for your food take a look around and you will quickly spot the locals. If you're lucky as you enter the restaurant you might spot Mrs. Lumpkin, the proprietor, who is quite a lady. The hours they are opened are limited now..so call ahead.
