During our two-week stay in Wellington, we decided to go to Martinborough for a very intimate couple celebration. When designing this trip, I wanted everything to be perfect at Martinborough so that my wife would really love it. After a look at various websites, my choice was easy to make : The Old Manse. One single precaution : this estate... More

We stayed one night in this lovely place. It was a residence for the local minister in bygone days, and has been fully restored by the current owners. The rooms are very comfortable and the hosts are fabulous. Hosts live in a separate building close by on the property. The whole place is full of character but at the same... More

We loved it here - we were warmly welcomed by John who genuinely seemed very pleased to see us! Our room was very nice - very light, not huge but very comfortable and well decorated. We enjoyed 'Happy Hour' with John (we were the only guests) where we tasted some lovely NZ wines and delicious canapes. John was exceptionally helpful... More

We stayed here for one night just before a long cycle ride. The hosts went out of their way for us, and their kindness has left a lasting impression. I have no hesitation recommending this accomodation to anyone who will treat it and the hosts well. More

Lovely rooms, clean and great bathrooms. We liked the open fire and the complimentary early evening canapés and drinks. Breakfast was excellent. The hosts really nice. Would definitely stay again. More

Friends are I were here for a wedding a few months back. The venue was lovely, with well maintained grounds. The owners were a different matter. It was all about what we couldn't do on the premises, rather than what we could! We were told that we could not use the kitchen, even though it is in the guest lounge... More

This beautiful old restored home with all the modern conveniences is set in a vineyard a short walk from town. We stayed in a room that was in the main house. The owners and other guests were attending a birthday party, so we pretty much had the house to ourselves. Our hosts showed us around, gave us the keys and... More
