We booked this place through the Martinborough I-site visitor centre quite late in the day. We did not realise that there was a special wine tasting event on that w/end and that most of Wellington were due to arrive, so considered ourselves very lucky to have got anywhere at all. The accommodation was just on the outskirts of the village... More

We booked this venue really late and was so surprised at the standard of the accomodation for the price. The apartments (standard) are bright and spotless, with good furnishings and a really good kitchen area with good facilities. They hire bikes out cheaply at the apartments, which mean you can cycle around the local vineyards and taste the wines. Its... More

With another couple, we stayed for one night in a two bedroom unit (one of two available at Claremont) and thoroughly enjoyed it. These are separate cottages, each with a good sized patio, and access to a secluded garden with a barbecue. Both units are new, and are nicely furnished, with generous kitchen, dining and lounge areas, and are well... More

Stayed just the one nite with our 10yo son midweek as a getaway from home during school holidays and loved the place. The split level sleeping style cabin was great, roomy, clean, quiet and had a nice country outlook onto a well kept garden area. Really nice hosts, the place was spotless and was great value for its price. The wireless connection was a... More

Stayed by chance in one of the chalets, and I must say it is a perfect accommodation for a family. The only very minor point I have is that I always find it disappointing nowadays when you don't get free wi-fi... But all the rest is quite nice and very well kept. More

Martinborough is a lovely town based on the many vineyards surrounding it. Claremont is an appealing, on edge of town place, and the studio has bonus extras as underfloor heating, spa bath, king size bed and quality linen. The manger can recommend places to eat and see - and was spot on. Is a bit of a walk into the centre... More

We have stayed a few times at this motel, both in the apartments and the studios. It is in a lovely garden setting, very quiet, clean, comfortable and friendly, helpful hosts. What more could you want. Highly recommend. More

Stayed in a standard unit for 2 nights with my wife. Nice spacious apartment with a loft bedroom. Kitchenette came in very handy, with fridge, microwave, hotplate and filter coffee. Very comfortable, clean accommodations with a nice deck with table and chairs. Really quiet surroundings, easy walk into town. More

martinborough is beautiful and this accommodation is in keeping . the rooms are comfortable and clean and beautifully decorated. the gas 'wood burning' stove makes it feel very cosy and the supplies provided for catering were great. we had a good stay. we enjoyed the spa bath, that we were able to arrive early and leave late. it was good... We took a chance on an unknown (to us) property, but were very happy with The Claremont. Our unit was modern, spacious & clean. The large bathroom, with spa bath and modern fittings provide excellent counter space - a feature we often find missing. Only drawback - the heater fan was a bit noisy! More
