Wouldnt go there again if it was paid for. The night club/bar is open till 12 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays. The noise into our downstairs rooms was really loud. The breakfast was average. Very disorganised to say the least. Always had to ask for mugs for coffee, bowls/ dishes were not cleaned properly and had residue left on them. Dinner... more

It is very offputting for visitors to Perth to be greeted with the prospect of paying over the odds for shoddy accomodation, but that is what you get in this city as I was continually told that 'there is less accomodation than demand'. I paid over $100 a night for a room that was dirty, grimey and thirty years past... more

The Indian Ocean Hotel is well past its sellby date. Built in the early 70's it looks as if none of the fixtures and fittings have been upgraded since. Consequently its dark, very old fashioned, scruffy and very worn. In the evenings it seems to be run as a pub instead of a hotel. More of that later! We paid... more

I stayed at the Indian Ocean with a group of 135 people from New Zealand. The hotel provided good location, close to ammenities, friendly and helpful staff ( and tolerant as our group was all ages from kids to adults.) Rooms were clean, restaurant staff were helpful and the bar bands didn't cause too much noise issue. Pool was well... more

Only stayed here one night. When i rang and booked it was suggested that we have an renovated spa room 302. I have no complaints about the room as it was adequate. Worth $180? No. The Hotel itself is a dump. It needs to be torn down. Its a relic from the 70's The pool and spa, if you dont... more

The reason I stayed there was that everything else in Perth was fully booked and had no choice. It is far away from everything else if you need to be in a city it is not a good choice. Room was dirty and staff especially in the pub on the first floor was not helpful or smiling at all. Also... more

This hotel is without doubt the worst we have ever stayed in. We were bitterly diassapointed at the travel agent (Discover West) who booked us in here. I am in agreement with another reviewer, demolish this beast of a monstrosity! Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet, comfort and a decor that is restful, as all the... more
