We went here for our 30 th anniversary just before xmas we were looking for peaceful romantic with beautiful walking tracks We stayed at the lodge itself which was sufficient as we spent lots of time downstairs in front of the fireplace and beautiful xmas tree drinking wine meeting people and reading. At dinner which was beautiful we chatted to... More

We booked the winter special package, and were not disappointed. We booked a lodge room, and were warned that it could be a bit noisy as it is over the restaurant. Upon arrival (very friendly and helpful) we were offered an upgrade for a good price, so we took a cabin. It was delightful - warm and cosy and comfortable.... More

I guess first impressions aren't everything but the efficient but unfriendly reception didn't start things off too well. We stayed in one of the cabins which was lovely, spacious and warm. It sounds picky but the rooms were very poorly lit which proved difficult when fishing through luggage or trying to read the walking maps. The bathroom have floor heating... More

We stayed in a one bedroom cabin right next to the main lodge. The room was spacious with a couch in front of the gas log fire which was lovely to sit in front of and also be able to see outside. We got the winter package which included sparkling wine, chocolates and glasses to keep, 2 course dinner and... More

I had heard many good reports about this place so decided to treat my wife and I to a couple of nights of pampering in the luxury spa rooms. Whilst the rooms and lodge were all very nice there was no "WOW" factor and the exterior of the resort looked very tired and uncared for. Rotten posts on our sun... More

After the 8km dirt rd drive in (on a long day of driving) the view was spectacular on arrival. Unfortunately we had only booked in the rooms in the lodge, in retrospect it would have been nice to have one of the apartments. The room we had was simply furnished but comfortable. We didn't seem to have control over the... More

If you can cope with the 8 km drive over a rubble road then do it . It really is away from it all, delightful rooms, in the tree tops, a good restaurant but don't expect much in the way of Communications with the outside world.

In the middle of nowhere, was a good thing. Wasnt feeling the best so my stay wasnt what id hoped (all i did was sleep) but no noise, no tv, no radio, nothing. The restaurant was good, very quiet, so quiet it was a bit awkward. The Pinkling fish was delish.

I was really worried about staying here after reading some of the reviews... Some seem to have really had horrible experiences here... BUT that was not the case for us. We are an extended family of seven (7) and so had 2x two bedroom cabins. Firstly let me tell you the purpose of our stay here - it was to... More

Stayed in a two bedroom cabin. The cabin was spacious, clean and a good base for exploring Cradle Mountain (we were on a fairly relaxed timetable). Has fridge/freezer, microwave and plug-in fryer, kettle, cooking utensils and cutlery. Dishes etc are self-washed, although the beds were re-made/rooms cleaned each day. They have board games you can borrow. The beds were comfy,... More
