This seafront hotel is not to be taken on photo value. An excellent photoshop has led us innocent travellers to believe it is of 4 star class instead of 2 star class. We stayed one night here in March, 2012, as part of a package with Great Southern Rail going on The Ghan from Darwin to Adelaide and onto Kangaroo Island. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the Seafront Rom was great with a very comfortable king bed and outside setting. Breakfast the next morning was delicious.

Kangaroo Island is magical - definitely recommended. Great service, unforgettable fauna and flora and beautiful weather and food.

The garden villas really were a lovely surprise. Like little A frame houses but with an almost Japanese feel once the doors were opened. You entered into a lounge come small kitchenette area and beyond that was a beautifully appointed bedroom and bathroom. We loved the decor and found our whole stay very comfortable. Stayed 3 nights in January 2012 and thoroughly enjoyed the place. Room was spotless, well appointed and exactly as advertised. Bed great, balcony great, aircon great. This was my first trip to Kangaroo Island (KI). It is beautiful, very rural and based around nature and wildlife. But that is one of the reasons we chose KI. Kangaroo Island is suffering from the recession in late 2011, but despite the cutbacks the Seafront Resort is a very nice place to be.
