Jack and Pat are exceptionally gracious hosts. Pat is a wonderful cook and Jack knows almost everything about the history of the local area. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the spring. Loved the wine and cheese gatherings in the afternoon and sitting on the back porch. More

We have been to Mayhurst three times including when we got married. It's great for relaxing, wine tasting and taking historical sightseeing. Pat and Jack are fabulous hosts. We can't wait to visit again. More

This B&B is in a lovely setting and the home itself is gorgeous and charming. The hosts are warm and welcoming and helped us tremendously is finding our way around the local sites. Breakfasts were out-of-this-world delicious and the grounds of the house are photogenic in the extreme. We want to go back! More

Mayhurst is ideally situated for historical sightseeing, wine tasting and the best restaurants. Gourmet breakfasts and wine and cheese at 5:30, where you may mingle with other guests, are an added bonus. Pat and Jack are welcoming and most helpful in assisting guests with details of their stay. A charming historical B&B with delightful grounds and a pond. The owner/managers could not possibly have been more helpful or knowledgable about the area -- the ability to purchase tickets to Montpelier at a reduced price through the B&B was incredibly inconvenient -- and turned a good trip into a wonderful one. The house was beautiful, the proprietors friendly, interesting, and accommodating. Breakfasts were amazing and accompanied by soft classical music that started off each day so peacefully. Best of all, they are well-versed in accommodating food allergies (mine are corn, soy, and gluten). Would absolutely stay there again. More

If you're looking for a romantic getaway with historical surroundings, Mayhurst Inn is ideal! The rooms are decorated with period antiques, modern conveniences and luxury linens. The amazing 9,500 sq foot house is a testament to Italianate architecture and the care that has been taken to restore it to its present day beauty. Mayhurst is surrounded by nearly 40 acres... More

Why is this part of the country so wonderful to visit? Rolling hills and horse farms, Civil War sites, Monticello, Montpelier, Ash Lawn, the English quaintness, antique stores, an unusually high number of excellent restaurants, wineries, and the Mayhurst Inn. (A car is a must.) Our second visit, my husband and I stayed three nights in the Southern Charm room;... More

Pat and Jack were wonderful. The gourmet breakfast was superb. We met some very nice people at our Wine Tasting. Our wheelchair accessible room was perfect in every way. Rollin shower. Accessible sink. Room to maneuver. We will return. [---] More
