I stayed at this hotel for a week with a large international group. The hotel was fantastic - excellent amenities and dining. The hotel staff is unbeatable - you could not ask for a more friendly and accommodating group to help make your stay the best it can be. Special high marks for the manager, Christof (sp?) who was especially... More

We visited the Cyvadier with our family for 3 days April 6th-April 9th and were thrilled with the hotel. We made the reservation based on Trip Advisor reviews and Guidebook recommendations. We were looking for a beach getaway fairly accessible to Port au Prince where we were doing some charity work. Though the hotel confused our reservation dates, Christophe graciously... More

When my family got here, we were a little worried. The city looked shabby, the sign for the hotel looked old, and the driveway was bumpy. But when got past all that, we were very, very pleasantly surprised. The place was an oasis. The view was amazing, the water in the pool and the sea was great, and the people... More

We did an overnight here and you would have never guessed it to be a hotel. The rooms are sparsely decorated but it works. Hot water was great to have as well. A/C worked as good as to be expected. The food in the restaurant was fine but service a little slow. The price shown is per person so it... More

This was an amazing trip. Hotel is absolutley beautiful. Staff extremely pleasant and helpful. I was not to crazy about the hotel foods or drinks, but if you want to enjoy some incredible Haitian food check out Andrelines Barbeque Restaurant on your right hand side as you exit the hotel (less than 5 min walk). The food is really good... More

Lovely setting. Friendly staff. Good food and drink, at reasonable prices. Room was OK -- clean, comfortable bed. The view is nice from up at the hotel, but if you go down to the beach it is pretty small. On the two days we were there the sea was a little rough -- even though it was a sunny and... More

I took a work group of about 20 people here in February for a day of relaxation - lunch, drinks and an opportunity to sit poolside or on the beach. We arrived at 11:00AM. I think the size of our group tested their ability to provide service as it took maybe 20 minutes or more to get the drinks we... More

We were traveling around Haiti just for fun (probably the only ones not with an NGO or some church/med group). We stayed at Cyvadier and it was OK, I don't think as great as some of these other reviews suggest. The beach is nothing to write home about - small and rocky with not very nice sand (although the bay... More

After my third stay at Hotel Cyvadier both my wife and myself find it hard to leave. The dining experience sitting thirty feet above Cyvadier bay is next to none. It is hard to find the perfect combination of comfort, relaxation, cuisine , and service all at the same time, and the hands on management of owner and chef Christophe Lang... More

I've stayed here multiple times over the last three years. It just keeps getting better. Such a beautiful setting! There's no better place to stay in Jacmel and/or Haiti as far as I'm concerned. It's not fancy, but it is luxurious in it's own way.
