We had a nice time because the setting was beautiful. But their little beach was terrible on the feet. The bottom of the little lagoon was foot-cutting rocks. In order to find a nice swimming area you had to go about 5 miles up the road to Cayes jacmel where there is a beaudtiful, huge, virgin beach. I'd recommend it.... more

Cyvadier is a nice hotel. It has a family feel. There are two kinds of rooms that I saw: basic with a fan and a little nicer with AC. I stayed in the little nicer one with AC and it is worth the extra price. I paid $85 US for a night and it included all three meals. The staff... more

If you go to Jacmel, Istrongly advise not to stay in town but get a ride for 10km more and go to Hotel Cyvadier Plage at Cyvadier. The location is perfect, higher up facing a cove with a small beach.....no neighbours, no turists....a small private and affordable paradise.....(Unless you go during the Carnival and then it is really busy)....the rooms... more

I have stayed at Hotel Cyvadier several times in the last 4 years and I think of the manager/owners as friends. Partly because when things go wrong on trips in Haiti, which they will, the manager finds a way to be helpful and make things work out. The staff are professional and also helpful.
