A tractor drives around the entire resort spraying pesticides every morning and evening. It sprayed a huge cloud of pesticides which the wind blew throughout everything, the pool, the food etc. The fresh fish from the ocean was amazing. The salad bar was great, but get to the buffet first thing to get the freshest food. They reuse a lot... more

We stayed at Tryp from Oct 31 - Nov 14, and had a great time. We got married at the gazebo, and the staff bent over backwards for us! Honestly, the people that complain on these websites need to lighten up! We went for a good time, with good friends and family and that's what we got. If you complain... more

ok, i should start by saying we ended up paying about 300 including tax each for this resort (West Jet special) so for that little, we shouldn't complain... but i will a little and here is a fair assessment hopefully with a few tips and info that others might not cover... our room had been upgraded and had an oceanview... more

This was our third trip to Cuba but first to Cayo Coco, so we totally knew what to expect in terms of food quality, service, amenities, etc... . Comparitively I would say it's not my favorite Cuban resort, but all in all it wasn't too bad. However the food here is below standard even for Cuban resort (and that's not... more

I must say that I am quite surprised with the amount of people who complain about Cuba's food. It's not that bad. I mean, it's obvious that it will not taste as good as your own food that you're use to back home. I did not have a problem with the food whatsoever. There was variety and it tasted just... more

The TRYP is a very good hotel, its is very very large so the rooms are very spread out. It is a great place if you like some quiet time around the hotel. I am in my late 20s so im not in my party years anymore, so this was a great place to relax during a busy work year.... more

The Tryp excelled over what I expected. I had read many bad reviews and I want to say it was the best hotel I have stayed at in 12 years of travel to Cuba. I found it better than Club Gauardalavaca in Holquin and Bucanero in Santiago although I love these hotels as well Sure you could refurbish the rooms... more

Gtounds and pools and a la carte restaurants definitely represent a 4 star resort...lagoon leading to buffet restaurant is totally disgusting...the smell coming from this gives you an idea that hiegene does not count here....we were in the oceanfront rooms we had 4 of them and each one had an issue..they are in dire need of refurbishing and truly only... more

I had a great time at Tryp Cayo Coco. The room we had was airy, spacious and very clean. our maid came in every day with fresh bed linen and towels. The food was good at the buffet- there was always something that took your fancy- you would never go hungry. The excellent fresh pastas, stirfrys and steaks made right... more
