My wife and I one night at the Spinning Wheel in July 2011. we chose it primarily because it was dog friendly, and they certainly did not disappoint! Our dog Bella had a great time playing with Chudleigh. Onancock is a nice little town to just walk around with several restaurants to choose from. We had dinner at The Blarney... More

If your grandma ran a B&B it would like the Spinning Wheel...warm, cozy inviting and a place where you feel you've known forever. As soon as you arrive you feel as though you've arrived at "Cheers" - where everybody knows your name. Thom & Linda seem as though they were born to run a B&B. They are friendly, interesting &... Onancock was the first stop on a 5-week road-trip round the US and it was a wonderful start. The house is charming and the welcome from Thom, Linda and the family is wonderfully welcoming. As a previous reviewer aludes to, this is not the most luxurious place to stay but it does not pretend to be. It is comfertable, has... More

I was visiting relatives in Portsmouth, VA and had not spent much time on the eastern shore. On the drive down 13, we decided to explore a bit. We booked the Spinning Wheel for one night. The yellow room was big enough and very cozy and comfortable. The atmosphere of the inn is casual, which was nice. We kayaked the... More

I stayed at the Spinning Wheel for one night in August 2009 on a two-day lighthouse lover's cruise through the southern Chesapeake. The trip overnighted in Onancock, with everyone making individual arrangements. I chose the Spinning Wheel, and ended up finding a place that felt like home almost immediately. Thom and Linda Nolan run a B&B that gives you the... More

The location of this bed and breakfast was perfect. It was located convieniently in the quaint town of onancock. Thom, Linda and family were great hosts, along with their friend ly and energetic 3 legged dog, Chudly. We stayed in room 1, and were delighted by how spacious and welcoming it was to us. The Nolan's delighted us with conversation,... More

In our first experience of an American B&B, we were warmly welcomed by Thom and family who were proud to show us around their delightful home. Their 3-legged dog was a star and good at playing the sympathy card! The blue room was very comfortable and the home-cooked breakfast was delicious. We had travelled from Philadephia via Rehoboth Beach, DE... More

While traveling up the east coast, I chose the town of Onancock on a whim, and the Spinning Wheel on a whim. How fortunate I was! Arriving late on a hot day, I was met with cool drinks on the back deck by innkeepers Linda & Thom, and fellow guests -- conversation in full swing. Not entirely unlike showing up... More

We have stayed in several B and B's on the Eastern Shore while looking for a place to live here. The best for many reasons was the Spinning Wheel run by Thom and Linda Nolan. First thing is this is a home lived in by a family. The other B and B's basically had far more of an atmosphere of... More

My husband and I stayed at this inn for one night in early October. Our room was small but well-appointed. There is no phone or television in the room, but there is a sitting room at the front of the house with these things that you are welcome to use. The hosts were low key and dressed very casually (sweat... More
