Have just returned from a week at the the Lodge Hotel. Due to strong winds the ferry crossing out was delayed, for some of the passengers by well over 24 hours. The location of the hotel is fabulous, our room with beautiful views. Consistently good (plain) food. All staff welcoming,helpful and friendly. Hotel is in keeping with the Tiree experience.... More

Nice place with friendly staff and a good restaurant (one of few on the island). Rooms are clean and comfortable enough, though decor is a bit tired. Issues with hot water - driven I think by the island's own water supply problems. Wifi in lounge (not rooms). For the price, not bad at all.

Went in the hotel for & ordered fish & chips. The menu sounds fantastic, if only it lived up to its reputation. The fish was not fresh with oil dripping out of it. Having just returned from a two night stay at the Tiree Lodge, I would advise anyone not to book. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, with hairs on the floor and in the shower cubicle. None of the radiators in our rooms worked so we had one plug in heater per room - not good enough as the cold season... More

We called here looking for lunch - it wasn't obvious they were open (no cars outside) - but we went in to reception and they said they could manage some soup, jacket potatoes or sandwiches. Property needs maintenance and paint internally & externally. Bathroom growing fine crop of mould. Restaurant meal just OK but breakfasts very good.

Tiree is a lovely island but it could be doing with a decent hotel and a decent place to eat. The hotel is shabby and the rooms poor, when we arrived we thought, what have we booked ourselves into and if we could have found a better alternative we would have turned and gone. Sorry but nil pointe for us.
