We all know that Travelodge are cheap & basic, I'm happy with that, I expect that. Except that it's not so cheap anymore and the Travelodge Ilford was terrible! I recently stayed in the Travelodge Ilford where I was disgusted with both the service and the facilities. Throughout my stay (2 nights, 3 days) only one lift was functional, and... More

Me and my husband use Travelodges a lot but found Ilford to be a total let down due to the noise from the gym next door and the traffic. The hotel needs a total refurb as the bathrooms are moudly and the TVs need retuning. It would be a good idea if someone bothered to check each room as the... More

stayed here with a friend for her birthday, room was nice and spacious as we had an end room. Bathroom was rusted and pretty cramped but got the job done. The other people staying in the hotel were very loud, as they were young people probably drunk. As for reception the girl working there was busy having a conversation with... More

Cons: No staff on reception half the time provide advice, Ironing equipment and check in/out etc. Breakfast not delivered for colleagues when paid for the evening before. Noise can easily heard from rooms on same corridor. Stains present on Pillows. Decor in such a rough state that I took photos of it. Room smelt of cigaret smoke. Poor signposting in... More

Got a family room for one night in a sale at £12. So good vfm! Found it OK although driving in the dark I was totally dependant on the sat nav. Good multi-storey parking next-door - free between 5.00pm and 9.00am provided you validate ticket at Travelodge reception. Park on Level 9 and you get immdiate access to Travelodge reception.... I booked on-line and paid £106 for 2 nights over the new year. Got to the hotel at 1:30pm on new years eve and check - in was at 2pm. Was told no rooms were available to check in as they were being cleaned and if I wanted to check in early, it would be £10 (So much for no... More

Second time I stayed here in a couple of months. Quite hard to find if driving, but big car park next door - free 5pm to 9am. Entrance to hotel very dark, had to use entryphone (even though only 5pm!) Good check in, and room perfectly OK. Had room in the front this time, and really quite noisy from about... More

Tired looking, dirty and noisy. The room, whilst spacious was grotty, the sheets and duvet stained and the bathroom gross. The toilet blocked and dirty - I wiped a towel round the seat before using and it was filthy and barely any toilet paper. The hotel Is difficult to find in a car and the parking limited; it get locked... More

The advert says 'Rooms from £19', this booking cost me £76.46 for two nights. The hotel is difficult to find and if you have a car you have to go to the top floor of Britannia car park, that is where the reception is. There was no one at the counter and had to a self serve booking in, got... More
