Not a good location- we came to this hotel expecting something to do around it, but there is nothing around except for residential homes and a motorway very close by. The living social deal meant that we were in a very small room in the modern extension- a room which was not on the website and was very disappointing. The... More

Thank you for taking your time to share your experience at The Edgwarebury Hotel. The hotel does have a semi-rural location, indeed the hotel itself is set in 10 acres of its own land, you view that there is nothing in the surrounding area is beyond the hotels control, although Watford town centre is a short drive & London can... the service is poor, the hotel isn't clean,, the beds are hard, the pillows are the worst you will ever see in a hotel and the staff are economical with the truth. Weekends are usually being used for weddings which are normally very noisy and rowdy. The main restaurant has no atmosphere and the food is very ordinary and expensive. More

A large group of us, both family and friends booked the new years eve package at this hotel, and what great value it was, the building and lobby areas are lovely with a lot of original features, check in was quick smooth and very friendly. the rooms were fairly large and did the job although i have to say we... Christmas Dinner for our Reading Club. The food and wine were excellent, the service cheerful and polite. We were a group of 12 and had a separate dining room which made it very intimate. Great food and wine for a Christmas dinner in a charming Tudor style traditional hotel. What more can you want? More

I took my best friend here the night before her wedding, and then enjoyed a stay the next night with my husband. We booked the bridal suit for 2 nights and although a little dated the charm and detail matched the tudor style of the hotel. The front of house staff were great, on the morning of the wedding, we... Lovely old building with great views over London from the terrace and some of the upgraded bedrooms. Additional bedrooms are located in a newer extension. The room allocated to us was still undergoing cleaning and smelled strongly of body odour. Upon reporting this, the receptionist checked availability of alternative rooms and we were offered another double room overlooking the gardens... More

We arrived at the hotel, it looked beautiful just like the photos. We checked in at reception and were told we had been given a complimentary upgrade from one of the standard double rooms to an executive room. The room was lovely and spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very helpful. There was only one towel... More

Stunning old building although showing some signs of lack of maintenance. We were there for a wedding and reception which was all dealt with professionally and seamlessly. The wedding meal itself was well prepared and the service of a very acceptable standard. We were, however, not so impressed with the rest of our stay. The bar food was expensive and... More

We stayed here for two nights on business and despite the impressive first impression we were left very unimpressed. We stayed in the newer part of the hotel downstairs which was very dark and gloomy, and the rooms were of "Travelodge" standard. The bed was very uncomfortable and was obviously very old and worn, the bathroom was just about adequate... More
