We stayed one night at the Alpenroesli. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had a balcony & it overlooked the lake in the distance. Breakfast was coffee (wonderful) and cereals with different types of breads.

I only have one complaint- the cows. Don't laugh, but around 3.45 AM the herd of cows with bells is driven up to the mountains to graze for the day- right past the hotel. The noise of the bells is SO LOUD- you wouldn't believe it. It scared me to death and was louder than a train. The manager told me this happens every single day. I don't know if you can hear them as loudly on the other side of the hotel- but they passed right under my window (and I sleep with windows open).

Overall a decent place to stay! more
